Role of Reviewers
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scholarly quality, integrity, and interdisciplinary character of the Journal of Climate Justice. Their evaluations support fair editorial decisions and contribute to the advancement of rigorous academic research.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
- Assess the scholarly quality and relevance of submissions
- Offer specific feedback to strengthen the manuscript
- Respect confidentiality of the review process
- Declare any conflicts of interest
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers are asked to assess manuscripts based on:
- Original contribution to knowledge
- Relevance to the journal’s interdisciplinary scope
- Clarity of argument and structure
- Methodological soundness
- Appropriate use of sources and references
Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not:
- Share manuscripts with others
- Use unpublished material for personal research
- Discuss submissions outside the review process
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts if:
- There is a personal or professional relationship with the author
- There is institutional conflict

Timeliness

Professional Conduct
