Hanns Lessing, is Executive Secretary for Communion and Theology at the World Communion of Reformed Churches. He is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia and served as a lecturer at the United Lutheran Theological Seminary, Paulinum, where he taught Missiology, Systematic Theology, and Church History. He edited several books on the impact of church and mission relations on the formation of colonialism and apartheid in South Africa and Namibia. His research interests are the decolonization of theology and a comprehensive ecclesiology, which brings together the justice and the Faith and Order dimensions.
