Dr. Nigussu Legesse is Executive Director of the Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA), Ethiopia, one of Africa’s leading faith-based development networks. He serves on the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) and on the WCC Commission on the Churches on Climate Justice and Sustainable Development. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and one of the Vice Presidents of the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC). At the national level, he chairs the High-Level Steering Committee of Civil Society Organizations in Ethiopia on Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability.

Dr. Legesse has extensive experience in civil society leadership, climate justice, sustainable development, rural development, agriculture, faith-based engagement, and public policy. He is widely recognized for promoting ecumenical collaboration and strengthening partnerships among churches, civil society organizations, governments, and international institutions in advancing environmental sustainability, social justice, and community resilience.
