Author Guidelines

Overview

The Journal of Climate Justice welcomes original scholarly contributions that engage critically with climate change, ecological sustainability, environmental justice, and interdisciplinary responses to global ecological challenges.

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Types of Submissions

The journal accepts:

  • Research Articles
  • Theoretical Essays
  • Policy Analysis Papers
  • Field Reports
  • Book Reviews

The journal accepts:

  • Research Articles: 6,000 – 8,000 words
  • Essays / Policy Papers: 4,000 – 6,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 800 – 1,200 words

Word count includes references and footnotes.

Formatting Requirements

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Size: 12 pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page Numbers: Bottom center
  • File Format: MS Word (.doc or .docx)

Citation Style

The journal follows Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography format).

Authors are responsible for ensuring accurate citations and complete reference lists.

Structure of Manuscript

Each submission must include:

  • Title of the Paper
  • Abstract (150–200 words)
  • 5–6 Keywords
  • Main Text
  • References

Author details should NOT appear in the main manuscript file to ensure blind review.

Language

Manuscripts must be submitted in clear academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek language editing prior to submission.

Originality & Plagiarism

All submissions are screened for plagiarism. Manuscripts with significant overlap or previously published material will be rejected.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Confirm ethical compliance where human subjects are involved
  • Ensure accuracy of data
  • Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material
  • Declare any conflicts of interest
