About Journal

Overview

The Journal of Climate Justice is an international, peer-reviewed interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to advancing research, dialogue, and informed engagement on climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental justice. The journal provides a scholarly platform that brings together diverse perspectives across environmental sciences, social sciences, humanities, public policy, ethics, and religion.

Recognising the urgency and complexity of ecological challenges, the journal fosters rigorous research and constructive dialogue that contribute to sustainable and just ecological futures.

Background and Rationale

The accelerating ecological crisis — including climate change, biodiversity degradation, widening environmental inequalities, and ecosystem disruption — presents multifaceted challenges that demand interdisciplinary analysis and collaborative responses. Addressing these realities requires integration across scientific research, governance frameworks, ethical reflection, cultural insight, and community-based knowledge systems.

The Journal of Climate Justice was established to serve as a global forum where scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policy thinkers can engage critically with ecological issues and contribute to informed public discourse and practical solutions.

The journal intentionally welcomes contributions from diverse regions, particularly the Global South, recognising the importance of contextual knowledge, lived experience, and perspectives from vulnerable communities in shaping equitable environmental futures.

Vision

To become a globally recognised interdisciplinary platform that advances research, informs policy and public discourse, and supports transformative approaches toward climate resilience, ecological sustainability, and environmental justice.
