Dr. Jayaraman Chillayil is an energy expert, researcher, and sustainability advocate with over 28 years of professional experience in the energy and industrial sectors. He currently serves as Managing Director of EQUINOCT – Community Sourced Modelling Solutions and works as an independent consultant in energy auditing, electrical safety, and sustainable development.  A two-time Fulbright Fellow, Dr. Jayaraman conducted research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA, focusing on energy efficiency and climate-related challenges.

His doctoral research from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham examined behavioural interventions to improve the adoption of energy-efficient practices in industries. Dr. Jayaraman has published widely in international journals and contributed to policy discussions on energy conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

He has received several honours, including the Kerala State Energy Award and environmental recognition for his contributions to energy conservation and climate action.
